Winter Bald Eagles

Bald Eagles can be seen from here at times. Usually soaring over the Maurice River at some distance but now and then they soar right overhead as they turn east to glide up the Maumuskin Creek. These are recent digital photos of a 2 year old immature eagle and an adult eagle flying right overhead.

I got some very similar shots a few weeks ago at an Oak Hill football game, Two birds soaring at what seems to be a very similar height. I have still not gotten anything resembling a close up of an eagle, but the kids tell me they hang out at ice fishing shacks and swoop down on discarded catches, so I might hang out on the ice this winter.
